We work to raise funds for our community groups: Ed Rafiqul Islam Alore Patha   

Holiday Post: Rafiqul Islam completed B.Sc from Mymensingh in 1977 and started his career in 1979. Then he was various trainers as an agronomist. He joined RDRS as an extension officer in 1984 and promoted to Assistant Project Administrator. Then he joined TMSS as a Associate Director in 1997. He joined “Alore Patha” as en Executive Director in 2004. He has many skills in his career and worked in various projects of UNICEF, DPHE, CARE also Various Donor agencies. Recently he spoke about various aspects of microfinance.

Economic environment in Bangladesh is good but marketing is also a challenging as most people have lower buying capacity. Buyers couldn’t purchase product, Buying costs must be income limits otherwise we cannot sustain in the market. Planning must be implemented. Which must be need based. As a result it will become more popular as more and more people practice. For that, importance should be given on education. He said.

According to questions, we have to focus mmicrocredit policy. Its need some improvement can be considered. Before provide credit beneficiaries should be trained which always not satisfied. MFIs need more freedom about keep Fixed deposit where there is some pressure from government. Government and Financial Institutes can help fund problems of small MFI s. Can be helpful during catastrophic like corona. Generally small MFIs are deprived here. He added.

You know that, Country deployment is depends on micro economy not majority people. We have more people and money but they didn’t skill. So that, we have need to train up people and provide necessary steps. Here lots of scope to work for the development of country.

We are working in our aim to achieve our community group goal. We have the expertise to help them and rise to their funds. It is our part of the organization’s activities. We will continue this in the future. I thinks, it’s should be goal of the country to develop economy as a whole of the people of the community.

If you know as free market economy, free market economy is helpful to produce diversified product. Present skill of people can be used here freely and mostly. So it must be respected always. MFI’s it needs government support always. They need more fund, incentives and develop utilizing capacity. Generally small MFIs are deprived always to get it from donor, Bank and Government.

From 1979 I have been working through NGOs for the development of poor’s through training and raise fund.
