Sheikh Russell mini stadium will be build in every upazila: Nazmul Hasan Papon

HP Sports Desk: Youth and Sports Minister Nazmul Hasan Papon MP said that he will inspect the ongoing work of the Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium, the disabled stadium under construction to the Jatiya Sangsad and the Bangabandhu Stadium. He said this to reporters after a review meeting on the construction of Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium, construction of disabled stadium, modernization and renovation of Bangabandhu Stadium at the Ministry today at noon.

He said, today I sat with those concerned with the three priority projects of sports. As you know, Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium is being constructed in every upazila across the country on the instructions of the honorable Prime Minister. The construction of 125 stadiums has been completed in the first phase. Construction of 186 mini stadiums is underway in the second phase.

Also informed about the progress regarding renovation of Bangabandhu Stadium and Handicapped Stadium under construction next to Jatiya Sangsad. I will visit the projects on site very soon.

All the stadiums that have been constructed should be properly used and maintained.  The renovation work of Bangabandhu Stadium is going on. He expressed the hope that the work would be completed by December. I have asked the project managers to complete the scheduled work at the earliest.

Mohiuddin Ahmed, Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the review meeting, Additional Secretary (Administration) Md. Mostafa Kamal Mazumder, Additional Secretary (Development) Md. Ubaidul Haque, The secretary of the National Sports Council and the project managers of related projects and senior officials of the ministry were present.
