Holiday Post Desk: Heritage Sweets, an eatery brand from the Bashundhara Group, has launched the first outlet to offer sweetmeats featuring tastes of Mughal traditions.
As part of ICCB (International Convention City Bashundhara), Heritage Sweets opened doors in Bashundhara residential area in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Delicious and fragrant desserts were an integral part of the royal courts and festivals of the Mughal emperors. Keeping that tradition in mind, Heritage Sweets will serve traditional sweets including AdiRasgolla, Kamalabhog, Delhi Chamcham, Bhogsagar, Gulab-Jamun, Chanar Jalebi and many more.
Each sweet will be made according to ancient Mughal recipes, where taste and quality will be ensured through the use of modern hygiene rules, skilled craftsmen and high-quality ingredients.
Keeping both the health and taste of the customers in mind, the highest quality ingredients and tested ancient methods have been used in each step.
In his welcome speech, ICCB chief operating officer MM Jasim Uddin said that ICCB Heritage Sweets is not just a sweet outlet, but it is an experience – where you will get back the tradition of royal hospitality and taste of the Mughal era.
“Our desserts are a unique example of the Mughal tradition and culture of Bengal. We started the journey of ICCB Heritage Sweets with the aim of respecting that tradition and presenting it to the new generation,” he said.
Jasim Uddin has expressed his gratitude to Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and Vice-chairman ShafiatSobhan for playing significant roles to initiate the chapter.
“I also acknowledge the Bashundhara Group Director Ahmed Ibrahim Sobhan for allocating the important space for opening Heritage Sweets from ICCB,” he added.
He further mentioned that each item of Heritage Sweets is made with traditional recipes and the finest ingredients, so that the taste and quality of the old days are maintained.
“We expect that Heritage Sweets will not be just a sweet outlet, but rather it will be a meeting place of tradition, taste and joy. The architecture and beauty of the Mughal era are reflected in the atmosphere of ICCB Heritage Sweets’ outlet, which will make the customer’s moment more memorable,”
ICCB has planned to expand the outlets of Heritage Sweets across important areas of Dhaka very soon and divisional headquarters gradually.
