The second edition of the International Hifzul Quran-related mega reality show and competition ‘Qur’an Noor Powered by Bashundhara Group’ is going to be held in the upcoming Ramadan. This time this competition will be conducted at the national level as well as internationally.
In this event, the country’s best under-16 reciters of the Holy Quran will be honored and awarded in collaboration with Bashundhara Group, the country’s leading industry group. A press conference was organized at Baitul Mukarram business group office in the capital on Wednesday (November 15) morning at the initiative of National Mosque Baitul Mukarram Musalli Committee on the occasion of ‘Noor of Qur’an’ competition.
It is informed that this time, 30 Para Quran Hafejras under 16 years of age from 11 zones of the whole country can participate in the competition at the national level. The zones are – Sylhet, Mymensingh, Comilla, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Faridpur, Barisal, Dhaka North and Dhaka South. The best judged Hafeez from each zone will participate in the second round by receiving the Yes CardThen the national level competition will start with them. A panel of judges consisting of prominent Islamic scholars and experienced Hafeez will select eight Hafeez as winners.
In this year’s Quran Noor competition, the first winner of the national level will get 10 lakh rupees and honor. The second winner will get seven lakh rupees and honors. The third prize is five lakh rupees and honors. The fourth and fifth prizes are two lakh rupees and honors. Apart from this, the remaining three who secured the sixth to eighth place will get a financial prize of one lakh taka. This time also eight national level winners, their families and teachers will be sent to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
It was informed in the press conference that the international competition will start after the national level competition. Quran reciters from different countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey will participate in this competition. The age of participants in the international competition will also be under 16 years. Hafez, who won the first place at the national level, will also participate in the international level competition with competitors from different countries of the world.
The jury consisting of internationally renowned Islamic scholars and renowned Islamic scholars from different countries of the world will select three Hafez of the Quran for the final round.
The first winner of the International Hifzul Quran Competition-2024 will get Tk 15 lakh and honors. The second winner will get Tk 10 lakh and prize and the third winner will get Tk 5 lakh and prize.
‘Quran’s Noor’ mega reality show and competition will be aired daily on News 24 television channel in next Ramadan. Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Muslim Committee President Haji Md. Yakub Ali, General Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman Manik, Senior Vice President Gulzar Ahmed, Khatib Mufti Ruhul Amin of Baitul Mukarram, Pesh Imam Shaykhul Hadith Muhammad Muhibbullahil Baki, Maulana Mizanur RahmanMufti Ehsanul Haque Jilani, Maulana Mohiuddin Qasem, internationally renowned Qari Sheikh Ahmad bin Yusuf Azhari and various Islamic scholars and national scholars were present.
In the press conference, it was said that Bashundhara Group is offering ‘Noor of Quran’ in Ramadan, the month of fasting and the month of revelation of the Holy Quran.
