100 stars flex together at Gold’s Gym Bangladesh event

Staff Reporter: Gold’s Gym Bangladesh hosted a programme titled “Dinner with the Stars” at the Gold’s Gym poolside of Bashundhara Sports City on Saturday, bringing together more than 100 digital creators, athletes, public figures and fitness advocates.
The event marked the launch of a structured influencer partnership initiative aimed at promoting fitness, discipline and healthy living among Bangladesh’s growing young population.
As part of the programme, Gold’s Gym Bangladesh signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with selected influencers from sports, lifestyle, fashion, entertainment and youth communities.
Speaking at the event, AnisulHaque Bobby, the General Manager of Gold’s Gym Bangladesh, said the main objective was to connect influencers from different genres with Gold’s Gym Bangladesh.
“We brought together around 100 influencers from various sectors under one platform. Influencers have a strong impact on the country’s youth and by engaging them, young people will become more interested in fitness,” he said.
He said, “The initiative is important for the country’s fitness industry. Although many gyms are now opening in Bangladesh, the sector is still not as developed as foreign or our neighbouring countries. This event opens the door to that progress. Our honourable chairman sir and honourable group director sir have further plans to work on this in the future.”
Bobby also said that Gold’s Gym Bangladesh crossed 1,000 members within just six months of operation. “When members appreciate our service, it motivates us a lot,” he said.
Representatives of Gold’s Gym Bangladesh said the collaboration is designed to go beyond brand visibility and instead focus on responsible content creation and long-term advocacy for healthy lifestyles, particularly among urban youth.
Fashion influencer SanjidaAfreen said that the scale and quality of the gym can only be understood by visiting it. “At first, it feels like a gym abroad. Many people do not even realise that such an advanced gym exists in Bangladesh,” she said.
She added that many people struggle to stay motivated about regular workouts, but the gym’s environment encourages people to exercise consistently.
The organisers said that the initiative aligns with Bashundhara Group’s long-standing vision of youth empowerment, community development and sustained investment in sports and wellness infrastructure, guided by the leadership of Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.
The programme also reflects the leadership philosophy of Ahmed Ibrahim Sobhan, Group Director of Bashundhara Group and Co-Chairman of Tanvir Bashundhara Group, whose focus on youth engagement and modern infrastructure has led to the development of destinations such as Toggi Fun World, Zulcan Indoor Arena and the expanding sports ecosystem at Bashundhara Sports City.
The complex offers facilities for padel, futsal, badminton, squash and cricket, which have gained popularity among urban youth and corporate communities.
Gold’s Gym Bangladesh operates premium fitness centers at N Block, Bashundhara Residential Area, Bashundhara Sports City and Level 8 of Bashundhara City Shopping Mall, offering modern training facilities, expert coaching and a holistic approach to health and wellness.
