With the slogan of greening cities and villages, SSS has rolled out Month-long Tree Plantation Program-2025. The organization has set an ambitious target of distributing a total of 5,00,000 saplings, backed by an allocation of BDT 50 million.
Saplings Take Root Nationwide: The program began on September 1, spanning 139 branches under 25 zones across the country. Students, youth, and SSS members are being handed fruit, forest, and medicinal saplings to plant in their homes, schools, and communities. In the first month alone, a total of 1,62,000 saplings are being distributed, while the rest will flourish during the upcoming May-June 2026 season.

Inspired by a Green Dreamer: Behind this initiative stands a lifelong lover of nature–the Founder and Executive Director of SSS, Mr. Abdul Hamid Bhuiyan. From the very beginning of his journey, he placed environmental conservation, afforestation, organic farming, and green financing at the heart of SSS’ mission. His tireless dedication was nationally recognized when SSS received the Prime Minister’s Afforestation Award in 1996.
A Promise for Tomorrow: The trees planted today are more than saplings–they are promises of fresh air, shade, and a greener tomorrow. Nowadays climate change threatens human survival, where SSS initiative is not just about planting trees, but about planting hope for generations yet to come.
