Army Chief meets Chief Advisor


Holiday Post Desk: Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC, paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Chief Advisor of Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Interim Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, at the State Guest House, Jamuna, today.
During the meeting, the Army Chief briefed the Honorable Chief Advisor about the overall security situation of the country and the ongoing activities of the army. Besides, they also discussed various steps taken by the army for the development and stability of the country. the Army Chief briefed the Honorable Principal Advisor about his recent visit to the Central African Republic. The Army Chief expressed his hope that this visit will play a helpful role in enhancing relations and enhancing military cooperation between the two countries.
In addition, the Chief of Army Staff informed the Honorable Chief Advisor about the evaluation and recommendations of the recently concluded High-Level Council on ensuring justice for various deprived army officers and the progress of the ongoing High-Level Council on JCOs and other ranks of army personnel dismissed for various reasons.
He was also informed about the various steps taken by the Bangladesh Army in treating the students and public injured in the July-August mass uprising.
The Honorable Chief Advisor appreciated the role and contribution of the Army and provided necessary guidance to the Army in its future activities. He expressed hope that the army will continue to discharge its duties with professionalism and dedication to ensure the country’s sovereignty and security.
