Islami Bank and Bangladesh Power Development Board Sign Corporate Agreement


Staff Reporter: A corporate agreement regarding customer service has been signed between Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC and the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Bidyut Bhaban (BPDB) in the capital. Under this agreement, all prepaid meter recharge services of the Bangladesh Power Development Board can gradually be completed through all branches, sub-branches, agent outlets, CellFin, iSmart, and mCash apps of Islami Bank.
Mohammad Nurul Abser, General Manager (Commercial Operation) of the Bangladesh Power Development Board, was present as the chief guest at the ceremony. Dr. M. Kamal Uddin Jasim, Additional Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, and Md. Ziaur Rahman, Director of the Prepaid Metering System Directorate of the Bangladesh Power Development Board, signed the agreement on behalf of respective organizations.
The event was also attended by Md. Maznuzzaman, Executive Vice President of Bank and A.N.M. Towhidul Islam, Assistant Vice President of Bank along with other senior officials from both organizations.
