Dhaka, 05 April 2023: Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has expressed deep grief over the death of Rokia Afzal Rahman, former member of TIB Board of Trustees, former caretaker government advisor and renowned entrepreneur.  He was a member of the General Assembly of TIB at the time of his death. TIB Executive Director Dr. Iftekharuzzaman said in a statement sent to the media today, The death of Rokia Afzal Rahman is an irreparable loss for the country. His active and courageous participation in TIB's anti-corruption social movement to play a catalyst role in ensuring good governance in the country is exemplary.  We remember his thoughtful guidance with gratitude and respect. As a dedicated and patriotic person, he will be a source of inspiration to us.

Rokia Afzal Rahman was a member of the Board of Trustees of TIB for two terms from 2012 to 2018.

We are indebted to him for his faithful contribution to the activities of TIB.
