Holiday Post Report: Dhaka, 03 December 2025: The Graduation Ceremony of the National Defence Course 2025 and Armed Forces War Course 2025 was held at the Complex of Defence Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur Cantonment, on Wednesday, 3 December 2025. The ceremony was graced by the Honourable Chief Adviser of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Professor Muhammad Yunus, as the Chief Guest.
In his address, the Honourable Chief Adviser congratulated all Course Members on the successful completion of their respective courses. He commended their year-long dedication and perseverance, noting that the knowledge and experience gained from these prestigious courses would enable them to contribute effectively to national development, policy formulation, and strategic decision-making.
Professor Yunus highlighted that the National Defence College (NDC) has emerged as a centre of excellence in security and development studies, nurturing leaders capable of addressing the complex challenges of a rapidly evolving national and global environment. He encouraged the graduates to utilise their insights to promote sustainable progress and uphold Bangladesh’s interests at both national and international levels. The Chief Adviser also congratulated the allied course members and expressed his expectation that their participation would further strengthen friendship and cooperation between Bangladesh and their respective countries.
Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, OSP, BSP, ndc, hdmc, psc, Commandant of the National Defence College, expressed sincere gratitude to the Honourable Chief Adviser for his gracious presence. He stated that NDC, guided by its motto “Security Through Knowledge,” continues to prepare senior and mid-level officers for higher responsibilities in ensuring national security and contributing to state policy and development. The Commandant also acknowledged the valuable support extended by the Services Headquarters, ministries, academic institutions, eminent academicians, and friendly nations in conducting the courses successfully.
According to ISPR, this year National Defence Course 2025 comprised 96 course members, including 49 officers from the Bangladesh Armed Forces, 18 participants from Civil Services, and 29 officers from 18 friendly countries. The Armed Forces War Course 2025 included 56 officers from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The graduation ceremony reflected the National Defence College’s enduring commitment to developing knowledgeable, visionary, and globally attuned leaders dedicated to strengthening national security and advancing the development aspirations of Bangladesh.
