Staff Reporter: Officers Club, Dhaka has organized Chittagong’s traditional host for senior government officials and their family members.
The host was organized at the Officers Club located on Bailey Road in Ramna area of the capital on Saturday (November 18) at noon.
Md. Mahbub Hossain, Secretary of the Council of Ministers and Club Chairman, as a chief guest, and Mezbah Uddin, former secretary of Ministry of youth and Sports and club general secretary event was presided.
Also present Tofazzal Hossain Mia, as special guests Prime Minister’s Chief Secretary, Mejbah Uddin Chowdhury, Public Administration Ministry Senior Secretary and Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Bashundhara Group Managing Director,
Post and Telecommunication Secretary Abu Hena Morshed Zaman, Home Ministry Security Services Department Secretary Mohammad Masud, Road and Transport Ministry Secretary Amin Ullah Noori, Health Ministry Health Services Department Secretary Jahangir Alam, Bangladesh Public Service Commission PSC Chairman Sohrab Hossain and many others.
Club authorities said that every year such hosts are organized for club members and their families. However, due to the corona epidemic, it was not possible to organize the host for the last three years. After 2019 this event has been organized again.
They also said that the traditional host of Chittagong has been cooked. Club members and their family members prepared this special meal for a total of seven thousand people in this event organized courtesy of Bashundhara Group.
Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anveer was honored with a crest on behalf of the club under the leadership of the Cabinet Secretary for sponsoring the host event.
